An excellent and long article about the 9.9% and how rich you might be.

It seems the 9.9% do not want to seem rich and just want to blend in with the middle class.

OK I deleted it, and also the partisan part of your post. I saw it more of a description of the numbers, not really about the causes. I suppose any discussion of wealth is dangerous.
