Skiing in Jersey

Nicky Z
This post was updated on .
The "Great Halloween Nor'Easter" dumped 10 inches of snow down here in northern/central new jersey. With 5 snow days and some brand new skis, and a ton of snow, I seized the opportunity and hit the slopes (well just my front yard park).

Here is an edit I put together, check it out.

Excellent.

I was looking at the houses and thought "those look similar to where I live." South Orange represent.

Cool. Your rails are pretty nice. Snowmaking to follow? Even better.

Fuj used to do the backyard park thing.

i'm surprised the snowmaking wasn't used to fill in the barespots...especially with 5 snow days!

The rails have been passed down to the next gen of park rippers.

And going to good use...

Those 5 snowdays were all with out power! Snowmaking to come soon. Those 3 rails and about 12 others will be at NZ Park this winter, along with new power washer, which means more snow!

the power washer must be combined with air some how. a power washer alone will make a big pile of ice

Nice video.  I got a few hours in at my local park.  Conditions ranging from 12" + powder to compacted slush.
