Honestly, I watch vids sometimes of people skiing in east coast trees and some of them I"m not sure I would follow them. The west can ruin ya, once you get used to 80 to 180 inch bases skiing through trees with visible fallen logs, stumps, rocks barely covered in snow, and small brush/twigs sticking up looks scary! That's why I mentioned knowing the terrain. I would like to see the line without snow and store any dangers in the memory bank. I'm crazy careful like that. I once watched an old girlfriend break her leg into two pieces, I don't ever want to experience that.
