Ski Day 2: Here are all my photos from the day.

It was Powderqueen, Pammy and me and some other dudes waiting in line...

...this bro manning the chair...

...and these peeps behind us...

The Big Line

FIrst tracks were like... wow where do I go? I'll go here it's right in front of me.

Conifer was on fire, ripping up the hill....

Whoosh!

Believe me this pic was taken in haste.

After a few runs the sun vanished, which probably helped preserve the snow...

Way Cool Telegirl in T1 Bumblebees

When I came to this spot at 1pm, I got a little giddy.  I was clearly with a local.... we looked at each other ... you first no you first.  He let me go and I snaked all the way down tight on skiers left, leaving him a big fresh piece.

We headed back to the snow pocket repeatedly and the skiing was great until the mix precip got heavy around 3pm.

One last groomer run...

... and into the lodge. What a day!

Niiice... Glad you got done Harv.  Thanks for sharing.

Did they run the Tbar? or did you hike up? We saw some tracks out there, but we were not going to hike over.

No Tbar.  We did some sliding, sidestepping and bootpacking.

It would have been very cool if they ran it, but also it was very cool the way it worked out.

AWESOME! Great trip report Harvey. Looks like heaven. Wish I lived closer :(

One question....How do you feel you have the TIME to take a picture at the top of a trail? I'm like a hungry drooling lion on a day like scared all my pow will get tracked out! That place is so special. Most other EC mountains the pow(when they don't groom it into oblivion at shitholes like jiminiy and okemo) gets tracked out in a heartbeat.

I really like having pictures later.  I had a very hard time concentrating on Saturday. IMO the photos are weak.

Please do not add the word douche into my trip reports.  It's douchey.

Pow the thing is (listen up sno) when you are totally sure about something, make sure you are right about it.  When you are totally sure about everything the bar is set even higher.

Know your audience.  When you are disagreeing with skimore about the orientation of Snow Ridge, an alarm should go off in your head.

Of course we all know that I'm always right in my opinions.  SNOWMAKING, GROOMING, and HIGH SPEED LIFTS FOR SNOW RIDGE.
I've lived in New York my entire life.

Who cares about the orientation of snow ridge? I was talking about it wasn't AS wind affected the way the high greens are. So that fact remains the same. He deflects into orientation and I said it faced southeast when it probably faces east and ene a little. Then he posts a pic showing due north to the left. That's not how you display a map. Oh wow...talk about nitpicking.

On top of it....I was making no personal attack against him. Just giving you props for your snow report and he's taking shots at me.

That's the last thing snow ridge needs. They do a good job of grooming when the powder isn't fresh/at close.

Re: Snow Ridge, NY: 11/22/14

Cornhead
What a great day two of the season! Dan, great to meet, and ski, with you. Also cool to see Harvey Road so well represented so far from everyone's home. I know Dan did, but did anyone else notice the tree stand on the side of the trail skier's far left, whichever one that is? I took a pic, but I can't seem to add it to this post through various means. I couldn't help think of Camp when I saw it, combination of his two passions. Never saw that before in all my years on various hills.

Harv, your pics look good to me, your's too Dan, in the conditions thread. If I wasn't having issues with my phone, I'd show you some crappy ones. I kicked myself for not snapping more first couple runs when the Sun was out.

That was a day I won't forget.  So much hype and for me, it was not overblown.

Pow I was just picking on you because you were the first to add the word douche to my TR.

I dig the report! I was there with my brother as well.  My first time at Snow Ridge (in the winter) and the POW was lovely.  I always wanted to make it up there when those lake effect storms rolled thru and I will definitely be back! I have been on NY Ski Blog from time to time to read articles, but I saw the "NY Ski Blog" skis that day and sparked my interest to register... Thanks for stopping to take pictures!

this is a picture of my brother mid day

Welcome louie. And two points for the skis.

Your bro looks happy, that snow certainly was deluxe.

What brought you to Snow Ridge in summer?
