Hopped into the trees between Johannsen and Silversmith, that was good, but I would think the ravine might need another dump or two. Yet another great day at Snow Ridge. Sunny at opening, snow for an hour or so, back to sun in the afternoon. The crowd was lighter than I expected, apparently lighter than Snow Ridge expected too, as they ran both lifts on North. Hit Kursteiner for my last two runs, worth the extra effort to get to and fro.I miss the balls too, I jokingly asked the lady at the ticket counter if they were out being cleaned and were going to be put back, sadly no. We also hit Whiteface Sundae for Santas ski free day, it was OK, too crowded though, Snow Ridge was by far the best of the two days.
Looks like a fun time. Opening with a powder day has to bode well for the season!
I thought that too as I was on the lift, but I had 3 similar days at SR early last season, and we all know how that turned out. It is looking good though, VT has been getting dumped on lately.
Those look like some fat powder sticks. What are your riding?
I often think back to opening day there a couple years ago. I would get over there more but I'm kind of locked into Gore weekends with kids ski school, racing, etc.
