Snow Speculation: 1/03/15

Looks like a thump of snow saturday night, may end as rain or a mix but should be a solid 3-6 or more.  Slight chance Gore can get 1-3 of lake effect snow tonight into tomorrow morning, whiteface can get some lake effect toward tomorrow night into thursday.

Open Snow has Gore getting 9 to 15" Down from 22" they had for Gore afternoon

WF only at 4 to 8"

Both the long and short range forecasts are in flux. Time to consult the weather rock.

Overnight open snow dropped the snow totals way down

Those initial totals must have been based on the potential lake effect off The Vly.

It's looking like this one is a bust now.

looks like some nice snow at WF now from lake effect, could be 3-6 inches tonight, 1-2 inches at Gore as it swings south.  For saturday night into sunday I still like 3-6 or 4-8 inches for both gore and the face going over to sleet and freezing rain before ending.  should be a net gain for both mountains.
