Just realized that the Whiteface conditions thread is already 17 pages long and 3x longer than the Gore thread, and the season only just started. Last year's didn't get to that long till February. This may be the first year that it is longer than the Gore thread. That's what having me posting there frequently does.

Amazing that you can balance that pedestal you've climbed on top of that high horse that you're talking to us from. And it's all happening in an ivory tower!

Listen to you. Did you have to climb down off your soap box to post this ? You've been up there for a long, long, long time. |

You claim 17 pages on the WF conditions page, and you haven't skied yet. Not one of them could have to do do with the actual conditions.
Hopefully you take a lesson away from this and stop posting your random BS on the conditions threads. MANY of us actually go on to see what the conditions are and have to search through pages of crap to find the answer. How about resetting the conditions threads anew considering there has been ONE day of skiing at gore and there are pages and pages of commentary before the first comment on this seasons ski conditions. If you believe you are archiving something of significance for historical significance, think again. Sometime you just have to clean out the attic and throw some crap away. |

Crikey ! All conditions threads are that way prior to opening day mate ! No worries. Just look for the posts-post-opening day..... |
I can't believe you idiots are taking this so personally. Whiteface is my new home mountain, and I'm excited for the upcoming season. That's got to be a lot better than the cesspool of the political threads.
All my posts in that thread have been related to conditions at Whiteface, and I have kept posting there because others responded to it. A thread can't exist unless there's dialogue. And Gorefarmhouse, you are completely out of your mind if you think it isn't OK for me to post about my home mountain before the Ski Season starts. I started my ski season today at Belleayre, and will be at Whiteface tomorrow. I haven't skied there yet because they only opened on Thursday and I haven't been in the area since.

I don't think anybody's personally offended. Nobody objected to all your posts in the whiteface conditions thread itself. You started getting grief for this self-congratulatory nonsense here: If you're really so awesome, why do you have to draw attention to it?

If you don't want people to take it personally maybe don't call them idiots

What?! I was never trying to brag about making the Whiteface Conditions thread long. I was surprised when I realized how long it got already, which I called attention to here. I was more excited than usual for the upcoming season (because I get to ski the best vertical in the east), so I posted a lot in that thread and people responded, making it much longer than ususal for this time of year. I'm not trying to brag about anything.
I can't stand it when people like Gorefarmhouse ask to have all my posts deleted because I (gasp) was excited for the upcoming ski season and posted in the conditions thread like everyone else did. I guess we should change this site to New York Politics Blog, because those are the only threads can be posted in until there is a big snow storm. I had a great day skiing, but I'm hesitant to post about it because some idiot will probably say it's a WROD (it wasn't) and isn't real skiing, and that I shouldn't post trip reports unless it was an "epic" day. I'm glad I have a busy couple weeks coming up at school so I won't end up in this insane asylum as much.

The idiots are the ones that said I couldn't post about skiing on a ski forum.

Dude Chill out. Write a trip report if you feel like it. I'll read it. I'm curious what Bell has going. Throw up a pic in the conditions thread if you don't want to spend the time or if you think a TR isn't justified. It's all good. No need to take things so seriously. It's supposed to be fun
