Labrador is closed for the season. Song however remains open on a weekend only schedule depending daily on weather conditions. Song Mountain will be closed Monday through Friday this week and there is a chance we may reopen Saturday and Sunday, April 18 and 19. Check back later in the week for an update
They now claim to have gotten 40 total and will be opening with 100% of terrain with limited grooming. Typical exaggeration for Song. I'm not doubting they got a lot of now, but I think 40 is a stretch, as is being 100% open without some serious equipment damage.
Was there today. They prob had a legit 25 to 30+ from the storm. Was a little melted but still pretty fluffy. Unfortunately they weren't really staffed to open and only had one lift spinning. Did three runs and left - too long to wait, but great conditions. Didn't get there til late so was cut up a lot.
Heard the guy who I think is the GM talkign to someone and said the storm cloud just stopped over the area and kept on dumping.
Coverage was excellent. On top there were a few wind scoured places but besides that it was deep. You had to keep speed up to get through anything that was untracked.
No hitting bottom while skiing. Song truly lucked out in this last storm. Hope they don't lose too much in the next few days.
Gore mid-week pass shut down for Prez week put me to Song again today.
6" lake effect fluff last couple days, temps teens to twenties, light winds, full sun and excellent grooming where they did made for a great day.
Friday night freekout scheduled for tonight.
Have fun, stay safe.
Skied Song noon till 4 or so.
Booted in upper lot and rode Diamond Cutter once and then over to the other triple spinning.
All the corn ya wanted.
Lots of folks on their phones today but the vibe was good as it was so nice out.
Never waited in a line.
Stay clean and safe.
