Watching the GFS I don't see much rain at all with this upcoming cold front. It should be scratchy this upcoming weekend, but not too bad as far as the base is concerned. Sharp edges and sun should be all that is needed to make this weekend doable.

It's still cold...I know the warm air will finally get here today but minimal snow loss thus far. Tomorrow will be the worst but a great day to ski spring conditions. Saturday is going to be tough with wind...WF will be brutal...Do you think it's time to mention Monday...oh I guess I just did...The models are all over the place but there might be a nice little low coming through the mid atlantic. It could go right over the area...temps look to be about right. It would be perfect for the holiday week.

Monday looks to be a southern storm, with NYC and the Catskills getting the brunt of it. There is the possibility of a rather large storm about 8 or 9 days out but that's pretty far out. It will be scratchy this weekend, but without a lot of rain, it should be somewhat edge-able, although it will be hard.

I am struggling with next weeks weather. The models are all over the place. One run the GFS hooks up the mountains on Monday the next it drives the low to Montreal...The euro is way further south..might have to wait till Sunday ,to decide on what day I'm going north.
This time of year we are starting our transition into a spring pattern. Which can be volatile and unpredictable.

I don't see it going south. Earlier the GFS had a low below us but now it looks like just north of our area coming out of the Great Lakes or just a tad south. I don't think this will shake out until it absolutely happens...watch the paid forecasters squirm with this one. I am still thinking Tuesday is going to be the day...I'll wait and watch this one but my focus is more on what we are going to get Friday and Saturday...It has gotten very warm and it looks like the most QPF is going to be in the southern Adirondacks Saturday's best will be like Tuesday if they can get all the lifts running...Firm Fast and Windy

I think the storm Monday (probably early monday) looks a lot like the storm from a few weknds ago, some thumb snow with even possible sleet / mix at the tail end. Maybe a 2-5 inch snowfall but its still pretty uncertain.
