Jason took me there late November last year and I accidentally only posted this quick report on my Facebook page -- forgot to put it on NYSB. Oh well, better late than never. Looking at the pix of him, I think that he's purchased two other bikes since this ride.
With temps in the low 50s and sunny skies, yesterday was my opportunity to head an hour north to the new Hutchinson Trail in Sterling Forest along the NY/NJ state line that people have been raving about since officially opening in March. Put together from scratch by volunteers in a forest filled with hemlocks and rhododendrons, it's a great ride that incorporates nicely designed features, some fun downhills, and a couple well-built bridges. When they finish a new section, it'll create a seven-mile loop. Judging by how many people were in the parking lot by early afternoon, it's already a local favorite.
