Re: Sterling Forest MTB Trails

I rode here today as well...just didn't make it up there until around 11.  Only had about an hour (was on the way to a BBQ) but I managed to do most of the Hutchinson trail starting from the northern lot. Had to turn around and come back after the downhill section a few miles in...wanted to keep going, such nice trail and ss different from where I usually ride.  Will have to get back up there soon for a full day of riding, would have been great to join that group today looks like a nice turnout.
Skiing is not a sport, it is a way of life.

Here's a nice 12-minute edit of our ride from the group leader, Gene. Gives a good feel for the terrain and flora (you may want to turn off the sound): another beautiful day in the northeast!

Gene's a good guy, but a bit much with the play by play..

The play-by-play can be helpful during editing, but yeah, no need to include it except in key spots/stick with a music bed.

Haha my sound is always down, so I didn't hear it. I thought James was referring to wind noise or something.   Yeah stick with tunes!

How do you choose tunes... is there a source for music with rights?

you know it!

I was lucky to make it out that day. Derailleur was ok but I somehow sheared the cable at the der and was literally hanging on by a thread AND cracked my 2nd cog (?!?). Made for  interesting 4-speed shifting for end of the ride  - I could only use the cogs at either end of the cassette. worked ok once i figured it out
