The forecasts all say it's going to be 0.5" to 2" of rain, but the radar looks like it's only a quick shot. Still hoping Sunday isn't too painful.

Matt , to see what is coming our way look at the Mississippi valley radar..a very strong low is developing there and will be marching thru Toronto. This will get cranked up on Sunday...
We will get cold on Monday followed by a clipper that will bring in arctic air and high winds for tues night and wed...

I live about 15 minutes from Mountain Creek.  Total gully washer this morning, and MC just opened on Friday.  They'll likely lose half their snow that they waited so long and worked so hard to make.  I was there Friday night and yesterday, and they had great cover on the runs they had open, and there were some others that were close to being ready.  That will definitely change.  Hopefully they'll get lots of good snowmaking weather this week and be able to open and connect all 4 "peaks".

Dutchess County....sunny at the moment, some on and off showers but not a lot of rain yet, certainly not as bad as the forecast had been in this neck of the woods.

Mountain Creek is closed due to lightning.  It was sunny for a little bit earlier today, but is back to gully washer with thunder.

Yeah this sucks.  Glad I stayed home.

Gotta be honest though, with weather like this it's not hard to miss the bad days

Good news is I'm not so sure there can there be a January thaw if it never froze yet!!

Anyone at Whiteface today could you comment on how much damage may have occurred?  Rain heavy as predicted?

It rained, but didn't do major damage. Round the clock snowmaking temps all week. Should be a great MLK weekend at WF.
