Whiteface now.  26 and rainy on the way to the hill.  Not currently doing anything at the base.  Word from someone who works at the mountain is that it's snowing up top.

I think we dodged a huge bullet at Gore.  Not much precip, vast majority frozen. An inch and a half of fresh wet snow.

Nordic still good.

Gore did better than Whiteface.  At 3:30 was still a light mist/r*in at the base, clouds and fog socking in the summits.  I don't think the light snow from mid up amounted to anything measureable.

Fortunately the precip all day was light and misty, so no coverage loss or anything like that.  Some brown snow in spots, but good coverage overall.

Good day......we'll see how things set up for tomorrow when the cold comes in.

Rainy/wet snow/warm out to the west.  Cover is thin as it is and not getting any better.  Snow was like mashed.  Still a lot of wet spots in the woods - ground is not frozen.

Found some interesting off-trail trees.  Moderate grades.  Needs more snow though.  Lots of rocks!

I'll give Mountain-Forecast credit due.  They had consistently been calling for 4 to 6 inches Sunday night.  Whiteface reporting 7 inches up top last night. They may not have groomed it last night, but Paron's is gonna be nice today.

The credit due to you goes without saying!  Always impressed by your weather prowess.

I was impressed that M-F forecast that Sunday night snow a week in advance.  They prolly got lucky, but they nailed it.
