4 to 8 inches at both Gore and Whiteface, first real snowstorm of the season (outside of lake effect)

I'm thinking I win my bet with Jason "more than one inch."

NWS ALY and BTV seem to be on different pages with storm totals right now. ALY is more bullish for NY.

Storm looks decent statewide.

That is so wierd that these maps are almost the same yet different.

Yours is a minute more current so I guess we go with that.

MAN_O_MAN* I just want to ski on our trails so bad this weekend.  Hoping for a foot at 1900 and cold/below 32 all the way through the week.

Looking at the bigger picture, there is snow for everyone, from the Hinterlands to Maine and in between (this image shows tomorrow around noon).

Sorry for the solipsism!  What is the scale or key to that map?

NWS BTV has Winter Storm Warnings up for parts of VT. I'm thinking that could get expanded?

This is a lot of snow for a clipper. Super clipper?

Its crashing into a low that is pulling the totals up.  Whiteface will get 3 inches on top of the three we got last night.

Ehh

NAM fous generates about .55" of liquid for BTV   a little less of ALB..The NAM did a great job on the last event...
So 4-8 is a good forecast.. Nice event..These events are the bread and butter of the north country...especially when they come every few days..
More for areas down wind of the lakes...

4-8 is a good forecast, Jason and I agree.  Its a decently strong clipper with a good bit of WAA out ahead of it.  Warren county tends to do well in these setups with a pretty steep decline in snows south of GFL as the Albany map shows well, its a good setup for Gore and Whiteface into NNE.

Cool maps. It does look like Gore is on the edge of the skunk zone.  It also looks a bit lake effect plumy.

I got this, the WRF or the WTF not sure:

we got 3 last night ---- local guys still saying an additional  5 to 9 of LE by mid tomorrow morning ---- guess there is a cold front coming thru mid afternoon that will crank the lakes up in our favor.

6" in Wilton so far, still coming down slowly, beautiful snow globe snow.  This morning very light and fluffy, this afternoon it's very wet which I'm assuming will knock down totals.  Nothing to be disappointed in here, it's December 12th and we have single digit nights coming up with more shots of snow
The day begins...  Your mountain awaits.

10" here in the SW corner of the park.  Lighter at first now heavier as well.  Great base snow for skis and sleds.  Love to hear about the NC/Indian Lake area bet they are well over a foot.
