The WRF seems to be showing a more southern track:

Storm Track

But this map... isn't the tip of Long Island the ideal location for KALB snow?

Storm Track

Noah or Jason or someone...

...can you explain the precise definition of "the Benchmark?"

Also does 0z mean 5AM or when?

When NWS refers to the benchmark they mean 40n 70w

12z =7am
18z=1
0z=7pm
06z=1am

One of the great quotes from Jason pessimist.

only couple of inches of slop
And the results...

No powder here - not worth going

Not saying that you are wrong this time, but you generally pretty pessimist.

You guys don't know what you got. Jason gets the early season award for most improved in the optimistic weatherman category. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Right next to that 4 foot drift was 2 inches of slop!

Albany news just said it's currently -10 at Mt Vanho, -16 at Saranac. They're predicting light fluffy snow, 8-12 inches in Gore area by noon Sunday.

Go get it.

Albany weather just raised the ante for the Gore area to 10-15 inches by Sunday noon. There's not much happening yet. Only a very light dust here at Exit 18.

I think they're full of beans, we'll see.
