Last night, *one* model showed a fairly significant snow event for us this weekend. The overnight run of the same model did not show it. But the morning run has it back again. Is it going to happen? Probably a bigger chance that it won't...but, if you have travel plans this weekend anywhere in the northeast.......keep this possibility in mind.

Oh boy

NWS Albany tonight:

Long term /saturday night through wednesday

Highlight of the period is at the start.  Low pressure develops and tracks rapidly over the deep south.  While gfs tracks this low much further north...To off the delmarva coast around daybreak sunday... The euro keeps it well south. However the euro also has a built- in mid level trof down through the mid-atlantic region at that time that comes with some light precip while keeping the main area of precip well to the south from alabama to virginia.  In either case...We would be looking at precip.  Hpc has trended toward this ecmwf solution...Which other models appear to support.

Not surprisingly, the one model that was showing a storm this weekend is backing off that idea and becoming more like the other models. In other words, chances for a storm this weekend are practically nil. But there will still be active weather over the next few days, so keep checking the forecast!

Please define gully washer...  I'm unclear but assume it isn't a good thing..

It really does feel like late march/early April up here.....

I plan on skiing again on 3/3, that will be immediately after the first significant snowfall of the year.

Time to get my groove on, time to connect with the devine to bring at least one big dump. Translation..two of my son's are holding season's passes to WFM and Gore and they wish to ski/ride 'till May. Also, I'm not Native American, but I'll see what I can do. Pardon me for not getting to this earlier.

p.s...the big dump(s) ..not referring to men's room event(s).
