Could this storm open Hickory or is it not even close to enough?

With 8" as per Jason's call ... I doubt it.

While the GFS has copious amounts to the north, most forecasters are calling for a more southern event.

If that 10-14" verifies...?

I'll reach out and post whatever I get in Ski Condiitons.

I would think that even with the 18" there may not be enough base at hickory.

Change of plans, going to drive straight to ME tomorrow, ski Cannon on the way home Monday, after they get theirs, hopefully. I saw on TWC arrows pointing to Southern ME for 2'+, I sure hope they nail it. Saddleback would be great after, still going to ski it Friday. Maybe I'll hit them a second time after the Loaf, Cannon Tuesday.

06z gfs is little further off the coast , thus cut the qpf. 8-12 for the dacks and greens and cats still a good bet..

still lots of time for changes good or bad

for what it's worth, Weather Channel in only calling for 5-7" for the Saranac Lake area. Hope they're wrong.

12zNAM gave a historical burial to everyone..GFS keeps system off the coast..it snows everywhere but nothing to get excited about..still think 6-12 is safe bet for everyone.. GFS tends to be the correct model , the NAM was so massive..
