Stowe - 3/24/19

This post was updated on .
Also skied on Saturday the 23rd, but lots of wind hold, and we only got one run off the Quad (good run, though - Nosedive woods).

Anyway, on to Sunday. It was a beautiful day.

We skied trees:

Skied some groomers:

I've looked at the Cliff under the Gondola for years. It was definitely short enough to do that day:

After lunch we did a hike:

Skied Rock Garden:

Skied down to the Kitchen Wall:

Skied a tree chute on the way in:

And finished the day with good Vermont beers.

It was sweet.

Cool pic

How long did you have to hang out there before the Gondi car was in the right spot to take that

Ca-caw......

Where’s the iron cross with the mute grab?  I guess you do look like you are nailed to a cross, so you got that.

With full extension like that right before landing I’d kinda expect the first thing your buddies said to you after you biffed the landing was.....”ooooh, you’re missing some teeth!”

Good on you to have the cajones to launch.....but I really would’ve expected better body position out of you in flight!

Hey...at least the chin on chest position is consistent!

All joking aside, that’s cool.  Bigger than I’m willing to go.

He just opened up the landing gear and is ready for impact!

Photog was a second late on capturing mid air steeze.

Nice pics Matt! It looks like there’s a shit ton of snow up in them hills.

I have a feeling he didn't.  I did chuckle about the chin position though.

I’m just bustin’ balls RA.  With free heels I’d imagine it’s hard to keep hands and tips driving down the hill in the air.  My biggest problem with airs (not as big as that) is staying out of the back seat on landing.

I stomped the shit out of it. I'll see if I can get the rest of the pictures in the sequence from the guy who took the pics.

A little toushy tapper back seat lander off a big air is a-ok in my book. Mid sized airs with good transitions maybe not so much. You know, like 20 to 40 footers.

Excellent photos and series. I have had trouble rotating photos, also.
