Stratton Tickets

Brownski
Holy crap are Stratton tickets expensive. Even on Liftopia, 4 days out, they’re 117. Anybody have alternative source for discount tics there?

Yeah, obviously- stratton is not my first choice.
I have a relative who doesn’t know any better staying at Stratton who asked me to come ski with them. It’s not ideal. For 117 though ....

Next year buy the skivermont card.
Last years deal was $189 for tickets at 4 different ski areas. Works out to $47.25 each.

Re: Stratton Tickets

JTG4eva!
Last year a friend of mine took his son and a few friends (including my youngest) to VT for a ski weekend.

He chose Stratton and Mount Snow.  I tried to convince him to spend one of those days at Magic.  He didn’t listen.

Yeah, the Stratton tix were really expensive.

After the trip my son came back and said....Dad, Vermont skiing sucks.  I don’t blame him.  I told him I’ll take him for some real VT skiing one of these days, hit up the likes of Magic, Sugarbush, MRG....even try the NEK (Jay, Stowe).

I skied Magic last Sunday. Mainly because my daughter and son-in-law had Indy Pass tickets to use. Not much open. They had some trails open on thin cover but it was really thin and I didn't try any. Magic badly needs more snow.

Yes, agreed. Magic is much better. I actually never skied Stratton until I bought Max Passes a couple tears ago.
My sister already bought 3 day tickets for herself and her family. You would think my own relatives would listen better but I guess Marketing can be a powerful force.  I guess I’ll have to bite the bullet
I’ll have fun. All skiing is fun

I’ve been lurking here for quite awhile so thanks for all the info everyone.  Brownski if you are an REI member (or know someone who is) you can purchase lift tickets for there qualifying areas at a discount.  Stratton is one $95. Killington as well $90

Hope this helps

Thanks R&R! Looks like that’s the best I can do at this late date. I am a member and I drive past the one in Yonkers all the time. REI it is.

Go with the OC Ski club for less than $50. Or check the NYCDSC or VT Ski council days.
