Re: Things have improved.

gorgonzola
bummer, heal up ... I would say quick but after seperating both of mine (one playing hockey and one on the mtb) its not a particularly speedy recovery... Did they or are they doing anything for you other than immobilizing it? That's all the treatment I got. My PT daughter gave me a few strengthening exercises and  and found some additional ones online but was that's about all you can do as far as I know short of surgery. My wife still get's grossed out looking at them as they never really went back down...

Telemark Dave
It's back in place, and I have an appt with a orthopedic specialist in s couple days, to double check for anything that might have been missed.  I've been keeping it in a sling, but I've already been starting working on the range of motion, apparently the older you are, the more important it is NOT to immobilize it for very long. (Assuming no other damage).  And yeh, it's going to be a slow process getting back to full strength.
"there is great chaos under heaven, and the situation is excellent" Disclaimer: Telemark Dave is a Hinterlandian. He is not from New York State, and in fact, doesn't even ski there very often. He is also obsessive-compulsive about Voile Charger BC's.
