Was it  Bronco or a Bronco II you blew up --- my experience with the Bronoc's has been positive, the Bronco II's not so much. They were a real POS!

How much did gas cost back then? It was about 89 cents when I started driving.

It’s before my time but my perception is that back then QC wasn’t quite what it’ is today.

The top of the piston cracked..

Lots of good times in that truck...I put in a monster sound system w/ big sub woofers etc..Damn  thing was delivered with a 8 track player..

It also had the short style front seats no headrests..

I still remember the day I was heading up 17  with a 5 gallon bucket of live  minnows between the seats. Had to stop short and lost the damn bucket..F'n fish everywhere..

Yeah buddy!!

Friend of mine had one while we were in HS. Remember the big plastic center console in those things? We'd fill that thing full of ice & beer and go crusin through the woods ---- those things were tanks!

My first vehicle was a 68 Scout. All wheel drive, 4 cylinder, 3 speed. Top speed was about 55. Wish I still had it

My cousin had a Bronco.  Did you ever take the top off?  I'm pretty sure it came off.
Sent from the driver's seat of my car while in motion.

many times...what a death trap..
it was a pain to remove, you had to remove all the trim to get to the mounting bolts...hence i lost a fair share of the tiny screws that held the trim..

It truly changes your daily life.  No more holding off on that second beer 'cause you've got to pick the kid up at her friend's house at 11!
