Tebowmania is headed to New York. In a move that diversifies their offense but threatens to undermine Mark Sanchez, the Jets on Wednesday traded for Tim Tebow, the popular but polarizing quarterback from the Denver Broncos.

The Jets have obtained Tim Tebow in a trade with the Denver Broncos.

Tebow was made expendable when the Broncos signed Peyton Manning this week. The Jets received Tebow and a seventh-round pick in the deal, and sent a fourth- and a sixth-round pick to Denver. Tebow will ostensibly run only a handful of plays per game, but the Jets view him as a component of their new run-oriented offense, engineered by the first-year coordinator Tony Sparano, who popularized the Wildcat formation when he was the head coach of the Miami Dolphins.

Good move by the Jets. I like Tebow, the boy has class.......JETS training camp is right here in town so having Tebow here will be an even bigger draw

Don't be a hater. The Jets were FAR from a "team" last year...Tebow will turn that around. The guy is a born leader and nobody works any harder than that kid. I'm not a Jets fan, but I am a Tebow fan...GO TEBOW!!!

Please, a moment of prayer for the Jets to have a successful season.

Trouble in paradise:

After word spread rapidly Wednesday that the New York Jets had acquired quarterback Tim Tebow from Denver for draft picks, the teams have encountered a hang-up in the language in Tebow's contract that could nullify the trade, a Broncos source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

In Tebow's contract is a $6.2 million salary advance, of which $1.2 million already has been paid by Denver, sources told Schefter. The difference of $5 million is still advanced against his future salary, and that burden would shift to the Jets in a trade. The Jets, sources said, believe the Broncos should owe Tebow that money.
