What happened to you today that was good?

We made a great new hire, and we are packing tonight to ski the WROD. Nothing better than going to the mountains.

What you got?

Ran a 5k with my daughter, I had trouble keeping up but it was great to have her around. I think she was going easy on me.
Don't ski the trees, ski the spaces between the trees.

We received a letter of intent for a large contract. 4 days off of hunting or skiing, can't make my mind up.

Sick Bird Rider
I tuned up the chainsaw, cut up a whole tree, split most of it and hauled the lot back to the the woodshed. And survived. It was a great day.

Tough call. Hunting season is short right? Is all of hunting season equal or are some parts better than others.

Put snow tires on both cars.  Did that at a friend's place - a guy who's 48 and has had cancer 3 times.  Great to spend time with him.  And snow in the forecast.
Sent from the driver's seat of my car while in motion.

Every year you want to be in the woods during the peak of the Rut. This is when the breeding activity picks up. It varies by location, weather, etc. However, the most hunters are usually in the woods during the first week of gun season. The plus side of this is the deer are on the move due to pressure.
I chose to hunt some then take my little guy out on his dirt bike. Maybe Sunday I'll ski.

Had a great opening weekend for my ski season.  It was a week later than I had hoped for, but I still started in November, which was the main goal.

I've gotta get my ski legs back.  The run off the Whiteface gondola down Excelsior and Valley takes a lot out of me the first day.  Later in the season, that should just be an easy cruise.  Can't wait to be ripping the steep trails all day every day once everything is opened up.

Thanks man.

I'm really fired up on skiing right now. Today was one of those days where you remember or are reminded why you love this weird lifestyle of ours.

I can't wait to get back up tomorrow

Nope. Having new snow two weeks before finals isn't making things easy for me.

I am super burnt out right now, my motivation is at an all time low. I'm in survival mode, one more course this spring and I get a degree, then it's time to apply for a nursing program.
