I would have been four and still living in Poland but that is a great story.

Nice story. Looks like a cool place. I wish I had started skiing at that age!

Great picture and story. Looks like it was a good season that year... do you have any more of Lake Placid you could post?

Great story. I have similar childhood memories from skiing in the early 1970's and staying at a small, friendly Inn at Berkshire East practically every weekend. We were able to leave our stuff in the Inn during the week. They also had a weekly Sat. night buffet with Prime Rib, Turkey and Ham and I would run around asking my Dad for quarters to play pinball. I also learned to ski on the old J and T Bars. Awesome memories. Again, great story and pic.  Thanks for sharing.

So great to read your post.

My family owned and ran The Chalet from 1964-1974.  I lived in the hotel with my parents and brother.  I occasionally Google The Chalet looking for old pics and was delighted to see yours.  Thank you very much for sharing it.

It was a very special place and it would be great share more memories and the few other pics I have with you.

Feel free to PM me.
