Ripping good stuff. Were you known back then as "the guy from NJ" (wearing your humble ski origins as a badge of honor) or did you keep that on the down low?

Your lucky to still be alive and walking. You should read the book “Tracking the wild Coomba” - the biography of Doug Coombs.

RA, thanks for sharing your story, I'll bet there are a few guys like you out there. I can think of one of our Hinterlandian crew at least. He had a bit of of ski movie career after being a competitive park skier here in Onterrible. Not sure why he didn't continue in the movies but now he skis trees faster and more fearlessly than anyone I ever seen. I'd like to sit at the table wen you two have a few beers and swap tales of those days.

I'm so thankful for those times, it really was some of the best days of my life.
Rt on RA

I could feel the excitement in your words as I was reading them. Thanks for sharing your story, really. I just love reading about self made success stories such as yours.

It also brought back great memories of my bumming days, those too were some of the greatest in my life.

By any chance did you cross paths with Tate MacDowell during your stint with TGR? He was a  cinematographer and editor for them. He was a local CNY Greek Peak ripper. He was just inducted into the TGR Hall of Fame. First non-athlete to do so.

Thanks again for sharing that bro.

He came on right after I left Jackson but I have interacted with him on the Internet.

He sadly just passed away.

Thanks for your appreciation camp and everyone. Because of the positive feedback  I’m inspired to write an article for Nysb now. It’s going to take me a few weeks but I’ll get it done.

Gotcha, I figured the timing had to be close for you two to have known each other.

I'm good friends with is brother Travis who lives and rips at Greek Peak. Great family. The loss of Tate hit them and everyone hard.

I'm glad your doing an article for NYSB --- look forward to it

As a side note my ass puckered just looking at those drops, geezus man!! I was scared shitless dropping Sterling Rock at Smuggs. All of 15 feet --- LOL

I can only imagine, he was much too young.

Haha! I was often very scared skiing lines in Jackson but I enjoyed that.
