The Magic Triangle

This weekend I learned of The Magic Triangle.  It's a three-sided region with Magic Mountain, Plattekill and Hickory at the corners.  The skier who informed me of this special zone has a home positioned precisely in the center.

What is your personal magic triangle?  What are your 3 favorite ski areas (in the world) and where would you ideally live, to access them?

Feel free to exclude jobs, money and all that reality crap.

Somewhere in the French Alps, because of the summer, too, when I would be biking the plentiful and well maintained roads up there. (Plus, it's a short hop to Italy)

Given the choice, I think I'd rather live at the base of one mountain than have 40 minute drives to three different mountains. Like, instead of living somewhere between Silverton, Telluride, and Durango Mountain Resort, I'd rather just live at the base of Telluride.

But, in your scenario, I guess someplace in Summit County, CO would be fun (Breck, A Basin, etc.), Somewhere in BC would be cool (Fernie, Red, Whitewater), Bozeman, MT (Bridger Bowl 20 mins, Big Sky, Moonlight, etc. 45 minutes), Lake Tahoe, Utah, Europe. I guess if I had the choice, I'd love to live on Lake Wanaka in New Zealand.

In the East? North Conway, NH would be nice - decent resorts around and access to Mount Washington. I think Waterbury, VT is nicely situated between Stowe, Sugarbush, Bolton, etc. but like I said, I'd rather just live in Stowe, walk out my door and go skiing (or mountain biking or whatever)

Totally legit. I wasn't trying to say it had to be in the middle.  Just... where would you live if it was only dictated by your three favorite places to ski.

I too would pick a location near the base of one area.

Don't ski the trees, ski the spaces between the trees.

Yes, I would rather live at the base of a mountain. Now for my triangle:

Pocatello, Idaho.

Jackson Hole 2:30 (also Grand Targhee)
Powder Mountain 2:20 (also Snow Basin)
Sun Valley 3:00

Peddle Creek Ski Area is about 19 miles from Pocatello. It has 2200 lift served vertical feet and 1100 acres.
