The New Gore Summit Cam!

Ha. I do a 30 mile bike loop down near Baltimore out of my girlfriend's driveway. Half way point is the little town of Boring. I want to move there and get elected Mayor, so, when asked, "what do you do"", my answer will be that I'm the Mayor of Boring.

What most people don't know is that the APA Secret Zoning Board has zoned Gore to be a CFA - Cam Free Area. Somebody actually installed a cam within the last few years , but it has since been ripped down. They found no reason to give the paying public a current look at the mountain.

They tried to do the same thing at Whiteface but ORDA  overruled the Secret Zoning Board by claiming that the Lake Placid/Whiteface Region is not part of the Adirondack Park. It seems to have worked as they keep installing cams all over Lake Placid and Whiteface.

Did anyone notice that Gore installed a webcam on the Bear Mt patrol building? It was there at the end of the season, but access has not been made public. It ma be there to watch the patrol director napping.
