The T-111 Grille

Just wondering...is there anyone who thinks the new T-111 Grille (aka Open Pit Grille) is a good addition to Gore?

T-111 Grille.  I love that.

Let's all start calling it that.

The T-111 was a sublayer.

The grill is now covered in the same log-type siding that is on many of the other buildings at Gore.

Harv,

that is the best news I have heard this summer.    Could not stand looking at that cheap building.   Log veneer will make it become part of the mountain.    Should have gave Gore mgmt more credit, apologies offered if they are reading.

A dressed up pig is still a pig.  Even with pretty siding, that building still blocks the formerly spectacular view from over one third of the base lodge, and is probably still going to spew fryer exhaust all over the deck.  Also, really how necessary is it to have a third commercial kitchen at the base lodge?  I don't understand what management was thinking.  Out of everything that Gore needs they elect to build that thing.  You have to wonder.....

When are they starting the new deck outside the Tannery? That's very important.

Wait until they post the large print version of the menu on the wall that faces the lodge windows!

While I am sure that I dont visit Gore with the volume of other skiers, I have yet to see a bunch of folks sitting on the deck admiring the view of the right side of the slopes from the deck.    Rather, most folks were sitting in chairs with their back to the view which seems to be barred by the hut.

IN ANY EVENT:     Once the Tannery deck is built, that view will be 100% retained.    But one then must pay the price of Gore beer to view it.     I will forgo the view to drink my yuenglings.  Or just grab a table closer to the mountain and get the view and my beer.
