When my husband was a baby his family used to ski at Mt. Peter.  They used to put him in a basket at the bottom of the lift and check on him as they came through to load!

I hope to get to Snow Ridge, though Skimore is closer and goes more often.

Song, Toggenburg and Lab are less than 1 hour away, but since I have a pass to Greek Peak there's no incentive for me to drive a little further to pay to ski less mountain.

If I could get some incentive, such as free lift tix and someone who wants to join me, I would go visit those places and blog a TR.

I got free tix to Swain from the Warren Miller flick. I hope to join Rochester Mark and Rippa Sista on their home mountain this season. Plenty of incentive to make the 2 hour drive west.

I also got 2 for 1 lift tix for Greek Peak from the WM movie. Maybe Rochester Mark and Rippa Sista will come here and ski at Greek Peak with me this season.

Tuxedo Ridge is very small, it has 8 trails but always has very good conditions the handful of times i have skied there. Thunder ridge is also very close to me they claim to have a bigger number of trails but have fewer, for example there is one section that is basically a giant field but they give it 3 different names. Also they are on the wrong side of the mountain which doesnt help the snowmaking operations but after some natural snow they have good skiing to offer.

Sounds like we might be able to check Tuxedo Ridge off our Hit List this season.

Traveling back from Lake Placid the other night I noticed a small ski hill near Schroon Lake, the Schroon Lake ski hill has a rope tow http://www.nelsap.org/ny/schroonlakeskicenter.html.

Once finding this website I discovered there are a lot listed that have not made the list yet.
See this link for the small areas and reopened areas in NYS: http://www.nelsap.org/ny/ny.html

I think every Whiteface zealot should be assigned the task of getting a report on one of these...

I can hit Hunt Hollow next year.  It's semi-private but I can usually make it when they have a public day or during the week when they allow non-members.

I've skied there a couple times.  It's small, but nice.  I like it better than Bristol...

Harvey, you forgot to add West Point to the covered list.  I made a TR from their last year.
I've lived in New York my entire life.

One more for the list is a one slope wonder at Ridin-Hy Ranch. Great for learners and always with great conditions. I'll be up there around New Years. 20 mins from Hickory right off North way.
