i demoed these at Targhee last winter and they are very nice.  They are not really an every day Eastern ski IMO so I assume you have a quiver.

They can be an every day eastern ski if he wants... Hell, a 118mm waisted powder ski can be an everyday ski if you want.

Unfortunately, because of his pessimistic forecasts, he probably won't do too much skiing so he'll never actually use them.

IMO the NY Quiver of two has a stiff 90mm ski and a floaty 100.

Keep em both handy.

Your quiver looks a lot like mine,
A pair of race tigers, Rossi Z9 rock skis, Sultan 85s - my primary powder ski and I added a pair of Surface powder boards this year. I think the first three are all that's needed in the east.

I dig the prophets. Have the 100's. I'd imagine the 98's ski similarly-- though they do have the early rise/early taper for better powder performance than the 100's. Great all around ski. I'm sure you will agree.

Picked up the Bacons last month. I wanted something with a little better powder performance than the 100's without sacrificing too much versatility. So far, I love 'em.

I'm dropping the the tigers and 8000..the 8000 are beat up and i just don't use the tigers..
sticking with the 6stars and the prophets..

the 98's are the same as the 100 but with a Capwall construction ?? it suppose to make the ski more versatile ie: hardpack

I think the 98s are more versatile and maybe even better in pow than the 100s, unless they added rocker to them. I had the regular 100's a few years ago and never really got them.

As far as a quiver goes, I skied 75 percent of my season on the Worth Humpbacks (106mm) after selling my Praxis Mountain Jibs (116mm).

Width is like age, nothing but a number.
