We've been on Big Moose Lake for over 15 years but have yet to see one.  I often say how much I wish I would see one on
a hike.  Seeing this reminds me that I should be careful what I wish for!

Being in the Daks for quite some time I've seen lots of deer, wild turkeys, the occasional black bear but never a moose.

Speculator area has been seeing them more and more

They are really fast in even deepish powder. Watched a private video taken by some backcountry skiers approaching on a snow covered fire road, and this Bullwinkle horned moose comes tearing ass from the opposite direction at a really nice rate. Impressive.
