Titus MLK day

 6 of us hit the Mtn for first chair clear crisp day but 30 mph gusts at the top made us all 3 layer players ! We hit the upper all am till the wind blew us off the mtn at about 1 pm , then we headed for the middle and back side trails . Groomed  runs were spectacular , side to side and no scrape off , ungroomed  trails on the back side  and slack country  were  pretty rough in spots where worn thin or crap stickin up thru the snow . All in all a good day 21 runs , great company and ski on lifts .

Four of us Heading To Tremblant Wednesday for the  first of several yearly  2 day trips == should be great all 94 trails open and they've had 19 inches of fresh over the past few days . We're staying at our usual Auberge with a fabulous Quebecois chef -- umm umm

Interesting website and trail map. Hard to figure out exactly how it all goes together.  (1200 feet of vertical?)  Also a picture of some touring skiers, apparently out west or somewhere else on the About Us page.

Harv the 1200 is basically only achievable if one runs from the top of the Upper Mtn to the bottom of the Lower Mtn valley via a connecting trail  thru the woods  . While it is there FEW do it since the last 400 or so of vert is really flat kinda like sections of Cloud at Gore .

If you want to  ski to the Valley Most ski down  from the Upper Mtn and take the Middle Mtn lift to the top then ski from Middle Mtn  to the valley , but we usually stay up top and run that or haunt the "backside"  of the Lower Mtn which has some steep short courses for racing . These are interesting and there is huckage available if u KNOW where to go __ Oops did i say that ??

DAMN      Looks like we just got knocked outta the box on Tremblant  JUST this am with  high wind warnings , ice storm and heavy blowing , drifting snow  for tomorrow -- we'll delay i guess . It'll still be there  when the BS is over

 We rescheduled Tremblant for Thursday and Friday , we'll wait out the ice /snow storm and high winds tomorrow
