Tray Sledding?!?!?

What's wrong with people today?  My kids (and friends) are the only ones tray sledding above the Cloudspin Lounge.  It can be done anywhere.  If you've got kids get them sliding on snow while you wrap the day with a frosty beverage.  Where has tradition gone?!?!?

Tray Sledding. Is that the same as snowboarding?

For the record, I believe in every child's (or adult's) right to slide on snow by whatever means are at hand. Personally I prefer shovels over trays.

What happened to the flexible flyer. Those were the days. I remember as a kid living in a hilly neighborhood, the parents would close off the street and we would sled late into the night down the hard - car packed street.

Blame the lawyers

Technically sledding in any form is not allowed at WF dye to some injuries and bloodsucking lawyers.

Back in the day my family and I hiked up in the fall to mid-station lodge, which wasn't locked up, and borrowed some trays - there was snow from mid up....did some tray sledding on lower Mt. Run/Wilderness intersection!
