Posting TRs of backcountry powder stashes a bit like fight club except that you are allowed to talk about it. Just don't say where it is. Or post pictures, apparently.

You really think anybody who saw those pics is just itchin' to know where he was?  Hahahaha!  Besides, it's probably something off or near the Bruce or the Teardrop; we've all skied it before.

Exactly.  I was gonna say, there's steeper stuff right across the road from my house.  Literally.  And about twenty minutes from my house there's a place with more snow, cleaner lines and less douchebags.  And no - it's not WF.

This thread has some recurring themes from some older threads.  (TRs does anyone read them?)

Lots of people use vague thread titles. Sometimes I let them go, other times I change them.  Ideally I'd like the name of the mountain in every thread.  Tons of Gore stuff gets posted without referencing Gore and if you don't know exactly what is being discussed you're lost.

With regard to pictures, if you'd rather not see them, the easiest way to avoid them is to stay out of the Trip Reports forum. That's where most of them are posted.  Much of this thread belongs in the Off Topic anyway.

To some extent ski forums are about posting pictures and tall tales. I admit I like posting (and looking at) good ski pics.  One reason I started this forum was because I like being able to post images larger than the blog allows.  If that makes me the chief lame-o, I can live with that.

The negativity I could do without.

Let's get this thread back on track...



Edit: I guess Harv and I posted at the same moment (great minds think alike and fools seldom differ). The video above is basically is making the same point, except in a more obscure fashion that I hoped might be a little humourous.

Besides, if you want abuse, go over to TGR!
