Vermont Icon dies

PeeTex
If you drive VT 7 through Ferrisburg on your way to Stowe, Jay, or Smuggs you may have seen Ollie the camel ( we called him Wednesday). Sadly Ollie has passed. RIP Ollie, we will miss seeing you graze in the fields - you were a highlight of the trip through that part of VT.
Don't ski the trees, ski the spaces between the trees.

Sad to hear.  I've driven that way many times to see my in laws in Montpelier and my daughters were always excited to see the camel in VT

That sucks

Believe it or not we have a camel in Virgil. I'll take a pic of him next time he's up by the road.

lol, VT has lost another icon though.

I saw on the book of faces yesterday that Magic Hat has shuttered the doors on their Burlington brewery and now brews solely out of Rochester NY. Although they sold out and havent been a major player for years they'll always have a place in my heart. Enjoyed many of their beers, great variety packs (especially back in the day here in PA when you could only buy cases at the beer distributor) and #9 was a standby and one of the gateway beers to craft brews.

I heard through the grapevine that he’s fine. A lot of people have stopped posting here lately. Hopefully they all find their way back at some point.
