Video TR - Sand pit skiing 1/14/11

Not enough time or energy to make it to Gore, so we went to a sand pit we used to go to all the time a few year ago. It was pretty fun!

This is a very cool video.

No ptex needed, sand isn't gonna gouge your bases. I could go for a good hot wax to clean them out, then a regular wax though!

Back-o-tricks is more getting a dusting off than expanding. I learned the same stuff, in the same spot, four years ago. Hadn't done more than 1 or 2 flips last year, and not many the year before that. Nothing like a good ole confidence booster!

That is fan-freakin-tastic. There is a sand pit near my house that looks much more appealing now.

I sent this to my ski buddy Telemark Dave, whose sons are video heads and park rats, respectively. He reports:

"Nice. Funny, Josh and Ethan have the same little model helis, they use them to buzz the cats....lol. Though Nero, our 15 lb black Persian, smacked one out of the air in that typical nonchalant, cats are too cool for that s--- way that they have."

Awesome! My sister's dog thinks it's a bird or something, so he goes crazy trying to get it. I had a few shots of him jumping after it, but they never made the final cut.
