Camp, I'm not going to wade into your motivations for starting the thread or the angle you chose, but from where I sit, ensconced in my own bubble, this was a story from last week that received a lot of national media attention.

So I guess I don't think you're an asshole or anything I just think even the most basic premise of your post is incorrect.  This wasn't like a mass shooting or seismic event where there are unanswered questions and the 24 hour news channels can run a ticker and call in experts/pundits while the details play out in real time.  These idiots real timed it themselves, and their action are unobjectionably horrendous.  I don't see anybody sticking up for them or justifying their actions in any way.
