Probably the best day of the three day weekend due to.....no crowds!
Conditions very similar to Sat 11/26 as really didnt lose snow overnight. Ran the Facelift a couple times 830 to 9 as the Gondi opened a bit late, and the entrance actually better/drier due to the hay and winds the days before drying it out. The few rocks from Sat were re-covered on Upper Valley.
Not really firm, but not soft either, under the Facelift. A little firmer from top of LWF. Due to lack of other skiers/boarders the bumps didn't form by we left late morning, even though temps warmed similar to previous two days.
All in all, a great time this long weekend, definately worth the trip considering its November and the slow start that is ahead of us.
Kudos to WF for the successful effort in t2b coverage. If you were not there, you missed some empty runs that you could really open it up on, especially the first couple hours this morning.
Was not able to stick around this afternoon but I am sure it remained quiet as the lodge was empty around 11am.
Probably not this week (M-F), as they are currently not running the gondi, but after 48 hours of resurfacing beginning Wed night, should be decent by the weekend
Bummer! That's what I figured. I've been watching the reports closely and I'm usually pretty good at figuring out the best times and I do not have good vibes about this at all. I already have one day in Oct. (Killington) and I'm dying to get a November day in but I'm thinking that it's just not going to happen.
