bottom line: it's not mountain management's fault that resources are not K-Mart quality (pun intended). So send your strongly worded letter to the top and stop harassing the people actually trying their best to overcome a chit ton.

I consider perfect to be more than opening all the lifts in a given season. At this point, all lifts for Christmas doesn't even matter. Gotta actually open them during the course of the season first.

There are some good reasons for getting married late in life... for me the discovery of Whoremongering was at the top of the list. I did a lot of European traveling early in my career (circa Windows 98) The Red Light district in Amsterdam at that time was over the top. The Czech Republic would be a close second. I know... It's sounds sleezy, but truth be told, it's very professional over there. I guess the more respectful term for the profession is Call Girl, Escort, or Hooker, but Escortmongering just doesn't role from the tongue in the same way. To be honest, I wish I started my career as a ski bum, but I quickly sold my soul to Corporate America. That said, the first 5 years of my career in Tech during the 90's were pretty sweet... at that time (before everything went to India) there were 4 high paying jobs for every 1 qualified programmer. If you worked for a company that had international operations it was quite easy to get all expense paid (mongering not included) travel assignments. It was fun for a time... I look back on it fondly. Undoubtedly, some might call it risky, but without taking risks, I find life to be pretty boring. |
YES! And this thread fully delivers! Thanks for the story time, that's quality chit right there. |
I wonder if Sno reads this and has some sort of neurological tweek, I can see him with one twitching eye and saying out loud "stay on topic! STAY ON TOPIC!"

No I don't, but this is Lookout isn't open yet and won't be unless they actually start making snow there now bitch thread. Leaving an entire section of the mountain to rot for extended periods of time means you have a de-facto shrinking ski resort, which I think is completely unacceptable.

Pro I honestly can recall ever skiing real bumps on Wilmington trail. They groom it every night and it gets harbor chop on it in the afternoon but not anything that resemble decent bumps. Mostly its a sheet of ice in the narrow spots in the afternoons from the sheer panicked intermediates that suddenly realize that those nets are there for a reason.

I've worn contacts to ski for like 30 years and they have yet to have them freeze to my eyes. The contacts keep getting better and actually cheaper while my eyes unfortunately seem to be keep getting worse.

Sno perfectly demonstrates why as a country we are totally F'ed in the future. This generation wants their free shit and they want it now. They put the capital E in entitlement.

Q.E.D. This alone justifies the discussion of the Lookout Mountain opening. Carry on.

How does this thread demonstrate that? When spending money on a pass, it's natural to expect that all the snowmaking terrain will open in a given year (except seasons like last year), and likely before February. Skiing is anything but free.

Apparently, you didn't read the conditions of purchase on your pass application.

Proves my theory that the Lookout terrain is pretty much just a scam to up their skiable acreage.
