I think I might give it a go, but my wife isn't always happy when I decide to try out a new technique.   I may give a dry rub to spice things up a bit.

Why is there some new technique every year? One year it's Deep Fry, then you gotta cover the outside in bacon, then it's Turducken . . .

If there wasn't some newer, better way every year we wouldn't have the marvel that is.......snowblades.  Evolve or die, my friend.  Evolve or die!  Why should turkey be any different?

How the hell did they come up with the term Spatchcock (a.k.a Spattlecock)?  The thought of my mother in-law spatch-cocking a Turkey makes me not want to come back home for the holiday.

No, what my wife usually says is........"you want to do THAT?", or "you want to do WHAT?"  Like I tell her, sometimes you just gotta let me experiment when it comes to roasting, or stuffing the turkey.
