Way too much base left out there one on all those closing ski areas this Spring. Can we just save it for early season next year. Most years the last few weeks of spring skiing the only snow left is on the trails, this year snow is every where what a year its been, we are getting spoiled in the East.

Wouldn't that be nice! Just go hike for some turns when the lifts shut down.

What mountain are these taken at? The first shot looks like Showcase, but there are moguls on marked trail.

Looks like Belleayre Run.  They leave skier's left ungroomed.

For alpine, I don't know if it's practical to bank snow for the coming year.  For how many trails?  Where are you gonna store it?
In Alberta, Canmore nordic center stored a huge pile of snow under wood chips and they rolled it out for a 2 k loop in October.  Last I heard, they were looking to host a sprint race on harvested snow this summer.
