A shift in the jet, some hope for the downtrodden.

I see that this morning.  It is causing me almost 4 extra hours of driving but it looks like we're going to have some fresh on Sunday Morning!

ROFL skimore that it hilarious.

Marcski I wouldn't exactly call the Plattekill skier downtrodden right now.

So after saying how rare it was for the entire continent to be cold, something close to that may be happening.

Love that skimore - just looked him up and sent a link to my bud in NH!
Got a good belly laugh out of that.

JTG4eva!
The winter has been a winner, and a great spring is surely ahead!

That said, I'll be dramatic and say.......it's "depressing" looking out my window and seeing it puke snow in midtown Manhatten, during a "massive" winter storm, knowing that Whiteface is getting squat and I'll be there tomorrow.  On top of that, a roundup of weather discussions is full of 'snowstorm today, very cold tomorrow, then less cold'.....and 'heavy snow for mid-Atlantic, weather mellows afterwards'.....and 'winter losing it's grip'......and 'hope just over the horizon for milder weather'.

Forecast highs in Placid next week hitting 40.  Are we officially cooking the corn starting next week, or will winter throw a few more things at us before it's done?  1-3 forecast for Saturday night.

On the bright side, glorious corned up spring skiing is in our not too distant future, and with spring comes thoughts of the Slides!
We REALLY need a proper roll eyes emoji!!

I wouldn't worry. Even if the daytime highs are in the 40s, the nighttime lows are still in the teens and 20s. There are probably some shady spots on the mountain that will hold snow until Late May.

I guess if I had any "concern", it would be the Slides and the Rumor Headwall at Gore. Both are looking a little bonier heading into March than they have in recent years. But Mt. Washington looks great and Superstar at Killington looks phenomenal. I think we'll be skiing in June somewhere.

I am hoping for Mt Washington in April.

Watch what you say as you are hoping for r*in at MC by saying this.  It sucks digging out of the driveway all the time, but it sure as heck beats r*in.  Well if you are hoping for r*in where I ski, then I don't need to watch what I say about r*in where you ski.
I've lived in New York my entire life.
