Thread on TGR saying that if DEC cuts go through, almost all of Bellayre employees end up loosing their job. Just overhyping the situation?

Tony Lanza said 8% of his revenue is from passholders. So ... what would be the refund?

I know they aren't obligated to do that, but if they didn't there'd be a revolution.

i have some friends who ski there and they have said its been like that for a few years now. last year they said there were going to close as well but stayed open...

The Adirondack Daily Enterprise invoked the freedom of information act to request that the state of NY provide a list of DEC employees that are being eliminated this year.

There are 134 employees being cut and 45 of those are from Belleayre.  The total number of state employees being cut is 900. In addition 260 employees took early retirement. These moves are projected to save $250 million.

Because of the way state workers can "bump" those with less seniority the list isn't actually final.  But it is interesting.
