lay it length wise down the mountain and it gets covered and does not create a problem or cut it up in chunks and stack it around boulders or place it in low spots.
That works huh?
I mean I ski over a lot of logs, but I've always been a bit baffled what I do with the big ones. Laying them lengthwise down the mountain doesn't seem to help because I still wind up skiing over them - I guess at least you don't catch an edge on them, but I have slid out going over logs that were laying that way as I traversed over them.
I actually think they are best when they are in piles and highly visible and out of my ski line. This is typically what I do. I'd love to burn them, but some areas I don't think I could get away with that legally. If it were my own land I would.
I get the low spots I guess, but those depressions still fill up with the same amount of snow.
