I don't think the weather will be as dire as the long range maps predict..

we will be suffering with just Blah weather...warmer days , maybe a little rain followed by seasonable weather...typical eastern weather..

Saw a snap from NZ that had a river running down Wild Air while he was grooming.

^^Wow.

The storm track on the current event looks to be drifting farther north or maybe getting a bit stronger...

Whiteface claims 3 inches overnight?  Not sure where that came from, maybe 2 inches for Gore.  Cats are good for 4-8.

When did the 2 inches fall at Gore?  Man it is hard keeping track. They posted those two inches around 4pm today.

Not sure what you mean.  I started this mission figuring that it might encourage Gore to post a more informative report.

Here is the report from this morning:

I think (not positive) but I think the 2 inches fell on Monday, or maybe overnight into Tues.  My guess is that the 2 inches will stay there until 4pm today.  The four inches is also confusing as there was no report of another 2 inches in the last seven days, that I saw.

This is not about marketing or exaggeration. To Gore's credit they don't do that.

I'd like to see a report that is update 7:30 am or earlier and 4pm with a time stamp.  I'd also like a web cam, which I'm told is coming soon.

Think morning to early afternoon, Whiteface reported the 3 inches early in the morning.  Think Gore was just late in reporting, that should go to yesterdays snow count.

2 inches should be yesterday (1/16/18), the other 2 inches should have been last Saturday (1/13/18)

I would advise to ski this weekend if you can, this is the last of the cold for two weeks in my opinion.  While this weekend will be the warmest weekend in two months it will be dry.  Another big rain storm is on the docket for Tuesday followed by warmth and more chances of rain.  Mountains will be in rough shape by the end of the month.

Are we sure this is gonna be so bad? Looks like some rain, sure, but temps don't look so bad in the mountains afterwards....

Agree, what I missing here guys?  Multiple ten day forecasts for Placid has maybe 3 days in low 30s, the rest in the 20s.

Maybe I jumped the gun Jason, did you see the Euro.  That sneaky high North of Montreal had been slowly trending stronger to the point where Euro is mostly frozen for Monday into Tuesday.  I'm not buying it yet but less rain and more frozen is better than warmth melt and rain
