Love my Volkl 1's (pictured in aviatar)...have skied them in deep, crud, and even groomers and really appreciate their performance. My son ADmiKe has the same skis and digs them the same. Only downside is not getting them into the smaller Gondi chutes, having to put them into snowboard bins from time to time, but no big deal. Ski them most often after it dumps.

Or...are you inquiring about my Nordicas with the lady graphic on them? ..Love those just as much.

Going to the small avatars was a (admittedly cheesy) way to make the site more mobile friendly. If you click on the each avatar you can see it in large format!

It's a picture of Helge Ingstad on a pair of skis bearing his name.

Being an Explorer and Scientist, he's a bit of an inspiration.

Those are Asnes skis right? That’s pretty bad ass.

Yup - they are XC skis.  They have metal edges but they aren't really great for making turns unless the snow is perfect.

They are very light and glide really well for a wide-ish ski.  For ungroomed XC trails, I like them.
