Powassassin, I just knew that when I posted this, you would come in and slam Jiminy Peak without even reading my full post. Did you read the part where I said I skied into the night hours? I skied till 6:30. When do all the other places in the Catskills or Vermont close? They all close at 4pm as they are not lit. My family has Christmas traditions, so we weren't going to be able to arrive for opening as usual. We got there at 12:30. In order to get a full day of skiing in, we needed to either go somewhere local or go somewhere with night skiing that was actually doing it on Christmas Day. We had a good time and that's all that matters.

You thought right daniel-son, but the grasshopper did read your entire post. lol I thought you said jiminy had all kinds of trails closed that's why I sad one trail open. I speed read your really long post. I get you going to MC.(close-by), but to consider that long ass drive all the way to Jiminiy in the FUTURE just doesn't make sense to ME. Just my 2 cents. Do as you please.

Jiminy Peak is not a small hill. They advertise the same acreage as MC does.

When you're driving as far as you are, Jimniny is SMALL. It's small compared to mt snow which is just up the road. In fact it's tiny compared to that. Hell, Greylock(doesn't have a ski area) is a real mountain and dwarfs jiminy. Jiminiy is a medium sized hill, mt snow is a mountain. That's the difference. If I was already driving hours and hours, I'd spend the extra 40 minutes to get to a mountain that is 10 times better especially when the price is similar.(77 bucks for a lift ticket at jiminy holiday period is highway robbery)

Maybe that is your problem. You argue constantly and most times seems like you either ignore certain points or you completely miss them. Then you argue things that were never even said. I feel bad for you. Do you want to go skiing? |

OMG did you read what I said about night skiing. Mount Snow DOESN'T HAVE IT Jiminy Peak DOES.

Who the hell wants to go night skiing(boiler plate skiing) in new england unless it's bombing out? lol If it stays above freezing and they regroom than it can be good. But other than that, it's horrible. Anyway, most times you won't be going night skiing up in the lower taconic range, right? I'm assuming you live in nyc metro if you ski MC so this was a one time thing. I was talking about your statement going forward you want to go again to Jiminy.

Lol, Snowballs is dead on. I mean, Snowballs and I like to argue, but this kid PowAss is insane. And he sucks at it! He just doesn't accept anything as a counterargument. PowAss: Jiminy blows Sno: I went to Jiminy because it has night skiing PowAss: YEAH BUT JIMINY BLOWS! It's not an argument, it's just one crazy person shouting about the end of the world on a street corner. His posts per day should be limited to 1. |

I don't think there was any boilerplate anywhere yesterday. Probably a nice springlike day with no crowds. |

I have to agree with mattchuck for once. I make a mini tr from Jiminy Peak and someone just takes it as an opportunity to slam Jiminy Peak.

Way to go bud. Thought you hadn't been out at all. Think I'll do some spring skiing tonight at Greek for day number 14. Going to be well above freezing all night and none of that boilerplate you always are worried about. Now Greek has night operations going, will be able to get out more regularly during the week when there aren't any storms rolling through. |
