H'mmm sounds like a plan , BBQ is  MONDO better than this damn freezing rain crap !!

After the next round of house renovations I will invest in a Big Green Egg!

I have one for six years now.  The thing is freaking awesome.  You can cook long and slow at say 225 degrees or ratch it up to 800-900 degrees and cook pizza or steaks.  It will do bread, chili, ribs, brisket, pulled pork, steaks, turkeys.  You name it does it.  I don't even own a gas grill anymore.  This all I use.  There egg festivals all over the country.  Big green egg brings in demos for those days (brand new) at the end of the day sell them for a major discount.  Generally the festivals have a nominal fee and all you can eat.  They usually have 15 eggs going with all kinds of different food.

And it was damn good

the eggs are awesome...but i need to get the kids through school first.  I am dealing with a webber...

Well if you could get it up there nobody is going to just throw it in their backpack and steal it on ya.

The egg. It has my attention. Think I am going to go with a medium.  So what are you using to start it? What about -30 degree nights, any problems with porcelain cracking?  The accessories are going to add up to more than the egg costs.

I use regular fire starters. Normally pick them up same time I get the charcoal, 1 box of starters = 1 bag of charcoal. That charcoal lights quickly.

I've had no issues with weather, and our local Egg expert has had one for years with no issues as well. Both sit outside on our decks.  

Certainly not a Big Green Egg but my_0_my the possibilities are endless.

Nope June.  That is the plan for now, it may get bumped up a little but those things are spendy.

I hear ya. They aren't like heading to Lowe's for a new grill, that's for sure. Lifetime guarantee so I plan on having this be the last grill I ever get.

Taking over the world...

Just got done smoking spare ribs. They are resting waiting for the finishing touches. Next weekend is a smoked turkey. The green egg works as advertised.
