Great to see some movement.  Hopefully the statement on pricing is not accurate:

"Tickets at Big Tupper, which cost $25 a day under ARISE, will be around 80 percent of a Whiteface ticket price, which is currently $94 for a one-day adult pass."
Can't believe much of what gets in the local ADE but this is just a response to the local Tupper Lake Fake Press Editorial a few weeks ago asking the developers to get the ski area open sooner rather than later in their development timeline. Of course you'll note that there is no mention of putting any real money into the area, they may provide some funding for operating expenses but will probably be looking for donated labor like they did with ARISE.  Good luck with that. Although the lifty guy in the article says that the lifts will be OK I'd be really hesitant ot get on one, they had major issues the last year they operated, roll backs etc.

Word on the street is that the Developer has a sugar daddy funding some road building but time will tell how long that lasts, the guy does have the capital but how long he will be willing to keep funding this is up in the air.  Hearing that the Land wasn't actually purchased, owners holding mortgage with balloon payment due in full with interest all due in the summer of 2018. Developer is still Millions in the hole, back taxes, mechanic leins etc

I'm Very skeptical about this story . This could be yet another ploy  or distraction in a series of ploys  that have been played out since BT's  demise in the late  1990's . I will believe it when i see it .

They are trying to sell 24 great camp sites. This they might be able to do. But after that, good bye everybody.

From the article:
"The new road, which will be maintained by a homeowners association, will allow access to lots where builders may erect “Great Camp” homes of up to 4,200 square feet on parcels ranging from thirty to 1,200 acres. It is the initial phase of a much bigger plan. Selling prices range from $2.5 million to $5 million for large lots and $750,000 to $1.75 million smaller ones, said Foxman.
These expensive getaway tracts are what the developers hope to sell first to raise some capital for the rest of the project, said James LaValley."

Ye Olde Ponzi Scheme - no financing? No problem. Just take the money from the early sales and use it to "build" later sales and ski area improvements.

They must not be aware of what happened at The Hermitage Ski Resort/Haystack and that underfunded Ponzi Scheme.

Bingo X! Trying to sell overpriced, logged over lots in the woods with no views, no waterfront(or access) and no services(like electricity) to fund future development of the ski area, Good Luck. (Developer has said in past articles that the Great Camp owners will need to install their own generators, just what you want to listen to in your wilderness estate retreat)

Even if they could sell these lots at the insane prices it still wouldn't get much in the way of $$$s for the ski area. They are proposing setting aside a Whopping 7.25%. so even if they sold $20 Million worth of lots that only gets you to $1.45 M for the ski area. What will that get you? Maybe on old used fixed grip Quad? Maybe a marginal working snowmaking system? A quarter of a new Lodge?

Lavalley saying that the ski area will be "fully functioning" the 19-20 season is pure spin.

When you can buy a "Great Camp" on the water in Tupper Lake for less than $2M I just don't see any hope for Big Tupper(Go to Zillow to see the listings)

I'm surprised that heated 6 pack bubble lift is not on resortboneyard.com yet.

Obviously the "reporter" who put this out is not a reporter. She just copied and pasted from the ADE article. Ther is nothing going on at the ski area in prep for next season.
