I kinda like the CyberTruck. Aren't Trucks supposed to be about utility and not looks anyway? Seems brilliant removing paint from the equation.
I want to see EVs succeed, and I'm long a few bucks on TSLA, but I'm realistic that most people won't fully convert to them until you can buy one that will have 70 cubic feet of storage, do 300 miles on one charge in the freezing cold with a cargo box on the roof, and winter tires on the wheels, and have a price point that's $40K or less.
My wife and I are a one car household right now with my ICE Golf Alltrack. I can't see giving that up any time soon. However if we were to ever buy a second car it would 100% be electric. Probably a Model 3. And that's where I think EVs fit into the picture for most households today - a great 2nd car to commute or do errands in.
